Huatulco’s original photo walking & tour company was created shortly after internationally-exhibited and published fine art & documentary photographer Kevin Spreitz moved to Huatulco from Canada. Kevin wanted to share his passion for photography, and empower others to develop a photographer’s eye and learn to see more creatively — something that will last a lifetime – while also showing them his beautiful new home town in paradise.

Join Kevin and discover Huatulco with his photography and culture walks, tours and workshops. Kevin will help you capture amazing pictures of Huatulco’s culture, the church and market, street scenes, villages, seascapes, landscapes, and places beyond. With Kevin’s signature inspiring and humourous style, he will teach you easy photo tips and how to see creatively with your eye and camera or smartphone, whether you are a beginner, amateur or advanced photographer! And it’s your tour, so everyone gets individual time and learns at thier own pace and level!

There’s also fascinating cultural and historical fun facts about Huatulco’s past and present. Each walk or tour is an eye-opening experience for photo enthusiasts, history buffs, street explorers and Instagrammers. Discover lifelong observation skills and renew your appreciation for seeing details in your surroundings in a new light. So much more than a walking photo class, even non-photographers are welcome! There are many walks, tours, and workshops to choose from, or create with Kevin your own custom designed photo tour or class, and you’ll uncover hidden gems off the beaten path that are not easy to find on your own, while improving your photography. Daily Crucecita Photo Walk. The Original and Famous Huatulco Photo Walk! Every day at 4 pm, starting at the gallery. 90 minutes. A great starting walk of Huatulco’s central village. Book early!

The Monday Morning Pochutla Market Photo Walk. Monday 9 am to 2 pm. Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, smells, textures, and tastes of this exciting market in Pochutla. Everywhere you look there is a fantastic photo! Maximum 8 people.

The Cross-Huatulco Village & Landscape Photo Tour. A 3 hour driving excursion right across Huatulco where you will see all of the stunning vistas and visit the village of Copalita and Bocana beach, all while learning many photo tips & concepts. Perfect for those who love landscape and street photography. Flexible days. Additional hours available.

Archaeological Ruins, Copalita & Bocana Photo Tour. This 4 hour tour is both a terrific sightseeing excursion and photo workshop. With specific insights and tips on how to capture archaeological and architectural images, village life with cultural authenticity, and some stunning beach landscapes and seascapes, you’ll walk away with increased photo knowledge and unforgettable Huatulco images. Flexible days. Additional hours available.

Pluma in the Mountains Photo Tour. This 5 hour tour in the charming village of Pluma high up in the mountains provides many amazing photo opportunities, incredible mountain views, and a terrific look at authentic village life during the walk, usually with some surprising moments! A great way to expand your visit beyond Huatulco and become a better photographer. Flexible days. Additional hours available. Also available for Zipolite & Mazunte. Includes driving time.

The Spreitz Posing & Portraits Workshop. Every Thursday morning, 8 am. Perfect for those who want to make better family portraits, advanced photographers making a living in portraits & headshots, or models looking to hone their craft. In this unique 90 minute beach workshop, you’ll learn how to make adjustments with movement, light, and settings to elevate your family & partner portraits – while photographing beautiful Oaxacan women and children in traditional Oaxacan dress & beachwear. An incredible opportunity to greatly improve your composition and posing while also capturing stunning Oaxacan cultural portraits. This workshop is also available in the gallery for a studio experience in air-conditioned comfort.

The Dia de Muertos Santa Maria Photo Walk. Only once a year, and this one is getting famous! Kevin and Marisol will immerse you in this tradition, help you capture incredible Day of the Dead photos in the Santa Maria Cemetery, and teach you easy photo tips. You’ll not only learn the fascinating history and significance of this magical day in Oaxacan culture – you’ll be a part of it and receive wonderful mementos! Truly a magical experience and always sold out early!
