In Ward 9, Lawrence Williams and his wife stayed in their home throughout the flood nearly 5 years ago. The water reached the light at top right, and they slept in the attic. On the left is a pen for racing pigeons, which Mr Williams breeds and sells. The sport is popular throughout most of the U.S., and he holds a racing pigeon magazine.
